Initiative Load Check

This 30-minute protocol helps a leadership team examine priorities from the point of view of the people responsible for implementation.

Prepare

List every active initiative, required routine, and significant change educators are expected to carry this term.

Discuss

For each item, identify:

• The desired student or educator outcome.
• The recurring actions it requires.
• The tools or meetings connected to it.
• What it replaced, if anything.
• Where it overlaps with another priority.

Decide

Choose at least one action:

1. Stop or pause work with low current value.
2. Combine overlapping routines.
3. Clarify the priority among competing requests.
4. Remove an outdated requirement.
